Success Stories

Scenario: The Persimmon Group was awarded a three-year contract to develop and deliver a statewide project management certification program. The program includes three weeks of tailored content, assessments, coaching, project audits, and consulting.

Results: The program, one of the highest rated in the nation, has been credited with enhancing the effectiveness of over 250 project managers and the overall quality of hundreds of projects. The Persimmon Group also provides the State of Kansas project consulting, coaching, and auditing services.

Scenario: The Persimmon Group assessed the client’s customer service organization, its ordering and service fulfillment processes, and its tools to reduce the ordering process time and the in-process rejection rate. Our team members identified data metrics and developed scorecards to manage the process lifecycle.

Results: Following the implementation of specific recommendations, the ordering and service fulfillment processing duration decreased from two weeks to three days (increasing revenue $300k per month), and the rejection rate dropped from nearly 85% to 10%.

Scenario: The Persimmon Group engaged with ConocoPhillips, which is in the process of completely transforming their HR service delivery model, to streamline the delivery of Human Resource services.

Results: The Persimmon Group enabled the creation of new, high-performance work teams. Tailored training programs focusing on teamwork, customer service, and innovation helped the company to launch a more effective and efficient HR function. ConocoPhillips expects to save several million dollars with this global initiative each year.

Scenario: This manufacturing company had three major issues: sagging sales, excessive inventory carrying costs, and an absence of succession planning. The Persimmon Group developed and delivered a tailored Leadership Development Program that identified and cultivated OCV’s next generation of management talent. In-class training exercises addressed the sagging sales and excessive inventory costs.

Results: OCV realized improvements in all areas. Company morale is very high. It has identified high-potential in-house candidates for every senior leadership position. Sales are strong, hitting record levels for the past six months, and inventory-carrying costs are now at an acceptable level.

Scenario: This effort involved an assessment, development and documentation of refined processes, training, and coaching.

Results: The Persimmon Group identified and resolved process bottlenecks in two mission critical departments, one with over 50 staff members the other with 10. Both currently exceed their performance goals.
