Project Management

Scrum Essentials and Sprint Simulation

A hands-on way to see Agile in action—and how to thrive in a Scrum environment

Scrum Essentials is designed for teams working in—or about to work in—a Scrum or Scrum-like environment. Whether you’re a developer, QA specialist, business analyst, or a project manager transitioning into a Scrum Master role, this course helps you get beyond buzzwords and into the actual mechanics of how Scrum works day to day.

Over the course of two highly interactive days, participants explore the key roles, rituals, and artifacts of Scrum—and then bring it all to life in a collaborative, real-time team simulation. By building something together, learners discover how Scrum functions in practice, where it often goes off track, and how to contribute more effectively within a team setting.

This course is ideal for organizations looking to align cross-functional teams, clarify expectations, and build confidence across varying levels of experience with Agile frameworks.

After this course, participants will:

  • Understand the core principles, roles, and events that define the Scrum framework
  • Recognize what makes Scrum succeed—or fail—in real-world team environments
  • Communicate more confidently using shared Agile language and concepts
  • Experience Scrum in action through an immersive, team-based simulation
  • Leave with a clear understanding of how to collaborate, prioritize, and effectively deliver within a Scrum team

Warm and Inclusive.

The class atmosphere was so inclusive! I often attend classes and don't have a sense of belonging, but did not experience that with this class. It was interactive rather than a lecture. Our instructor knew when to let us discuss ideas vs. "instructing" us. Persimmon knocked it out of the park!

Impactful.

I love that the same concepts can be used by people from different industries, education or experience, with such diverse job titles and on an endless amount of short or long-term projects. Thank you so much!
